But about what it will become.

It's a strange feeling when a city isn't just a dot on a map. You know its streets, the sea, the courtyards, the familiar cafes, the smell after the rain. You have places you can't pass by without feeling moved, because they represent a part of your life.

And so, when I think about Odessa's future, I feel a little scared.

I want to believe that it will remain itself. That there will once again be full summer terraces, bustling streets, children with ice cream, tourists with cameras, and those evenings by the sea when you absolutely don't want to leave.

I really want the city not just to survive.

For it to live.

To develop, to be restored, to become even more beautiful, and once again to attract people from all over the world.

Odesa has too strong a character to simply disappear.

And perhaps that's why I believe in its future, even when I'm afraid for it.

Because cities aren't just buildings and streets.

They're the people who love them.

And as long as there are people who care, Odessa definitely has something to live for. ❤️

The sea remembers everything. And I hope it will see so much more.
