True intimacy is when you can be silent and still feel good.

Sitting in the kitchen in the evening. He scrolls through his phone, I read a book. Sometimes one says something, the other responds. And then silence again.

Without the need to constantly entertain each other, keep the conversation going, or prove that you're enjoying each other.

I think it's an incredibly beautiful state—when someone's mere presence is pleasant.

When you can drive together in the car and spend half the journey in silence. You can drink coffee in the morning, each doing your own thing. You can spend the whole day together and not feel tired of each other.

I guess that's exactly the kind of person I want to meet.

Not someone with whom every day feels like a holiday.

But someone with whom even the most ordinary Tuesday becomes your own.

Because holidays are rare.

And life is made up of those quiet Tuesdays. ❤️
