Last night π, I honestly planned to go to bed at exactly ten o'clock so I could finally get enough sleep, recharge, and wake up in the morning with a clear head. I turned on the new detective series literally "in the background" while I sorted through my wardrobe, took care of myself, and prepared for the next workday. And that's it, I was hooked from the very first minute!
The writers did a fantastic job. The investigation unfolded so rapidly, and the plot unfolded so wildly, that with every final, most poignant scene of the episode, I kept saying to myself, "Okay, this is definitely the last episode, and I'm turning off my laptop." π€¦ββοΈ The most insidious thing about modern TV series is when they leave such a cliffhanger at the end that it's physically impossible to close the tab without finding out what happened next.
In the end, I only looked at my watch when the first morning birds were already singing outside, the first garbage trucks were driving by, and the final credits of the very last episode were slowly rolling on the screen. I sat in the same position for hours straight, not even noticing how my cup of tea had long since gone cold on the nightstand.
The ending was so powerful and unexpected that it was definitely worth every minute of that sleepless night! I'm sitting here with a huge mug of the strongest coffee, dark circles under my eyes, but an incredible wealth of vivid emotions βοΈ. My brain refuses to function normally, but my mood is still high. Sometimes, captivating stories are definitely worth breaking your daily routine.
