That languid, superior look when you affectionately call him by name, or the genuine, silent surprise when you don't share your food with him—it's a whole other form of comic art 😹. It's especially satisfying to watch him settle down to sleep with the utmost dignity, right in the middle of freshly ironed clothes or on the laptop keyboard just when you urgently need to finish typing.

I spent a ton of money on soft beds and brightly colored balls, but he was most delighted with a simple crumpled piece of paper and a shoebox! ❤️
