Interesting things about love, partners and romance 👩‍❤️‍👨💭

I have been thinking a lot about love lately. Not the fairytale kind. Real love. The kind that actually lasts. Here is what I have noticed. 💋

🧲Opposites attract, but they rarely stay together. Sparks fly when someone is different from you, but long term, you need to be on the same page about the important things. Your values, your future, and how you handle money. Chemistry is exciting. Compatibility is what lasts

💯The best relationships are not 50/50. They are 100/100. Both people have to show up fully. Both people have to be willing to give more than they take. If you are constantly keeping score, you are not in a partnership. You are in a transaction

😁The most attractive quality in a man is not his looks or his money. It is his emotional availability. A man who can talk about his feelings, who can apologise when he is wrong, and who can sit with you in silence without feeling awkward, that is the kind of man who knows how to love.

🔥Passion fades. It always does. The heat that feels so intense in the beginning will cool down. What replaces it is either comfort or distance. If you want comfort, you have to be willing to nurture it. If you let distance grow, you will wake up one day next to a stranger

🤔The people who are the hardest to love are often the ones who need it the most. We do not talk about that enough.

🙊The person you end up with will not be perfect. And neither will you. The secret is not finding someone who never disappoints you. It is finding someone whose imperfections you can live with.

✨People do not change unless they want to. No amount of love, patience, or begging will make someone become who you need them to be. They have to want it for themselves. And if they do not, you have to be willing to walk away.

We are all just trying to find someone who makes us feel less alone. That is it. That is the whole thing. What is the most interesting thing you have learned about love? 💋
