What i expect from a man as he ages.
id: 10057437

When I look at a mature man, I expect honesty from him above all else. Honesty with himself and with me. If you've made mistakes, that's okay. If life didn't turn out the way you planned, that's okay too. The main thing is that you understand this and don't blame the world for your problems.

I appreciate someone who gets things done. You don't have to be a top manager or a millionaire. Maybe you work a simple job, but you do it honestly. Maybe you fix things yourself, grow tomatoes on the balcony, understand cars, or cook good dinners. The main thing is that there's some activity that interests you and gives you meaning.

I expect independence from a mature man. Not in terms of money, but in terms of life. That you know how to take care of yourself—cook, do the laundry, keep the house tidy. Living alone is normal, even good. Living with family is okay, too, but it's important to understand boundaries and not be completely dependent on your mother or sister for everyday life.

I like men who are interested in life. Maybe it's not a career at the top, but you're interested in what's happening in the world. You read, watch movies, and discuss ideas. You have an opinion, but you don't force it. You can listen and hear others.

I want someone who treats me with respect. You don't have to fall on your knees or give me expensive gifts. Just see me as a person, be interested in my life, remember what I told you, and sometimes ask, "How are you? How was your day?" That says a lot.

From a mature man, I expect emotional openness—but in a healthy way. You don't have to be romantic, write poetry, or surprise me every day. But you should be able to talk about your feelings. Even if it's just "I like being with you," "I'm worried," or "I'm sad." A man who can be vulnerable isn't weakness, it's honesty.

And most importantly, I expect him to want to grow. Maybe you made mistakes in your youth. Maybe your life isn't quite what you dreamed it would be. But if you want to change something, if you're willing to work on yourself and your relationship, that's enough. I believe in people who want to become better.
