It's a living, breathing part of my life. And the most important thing I've learned over the years is that when you lose your way, you don't need to panic and rush around looking for answers everywhere. First, you need to stop and ask the Lord for help.
A year ago, I was faced with a choice: stay at a job that pays well but is soul-destroying, or walk into the unknown? I was so scared. I prayed, but somehow I prayed the wrong way—with doubt, with distrust, expecting the Lord to write the answer on my wall. Until I understood the most important thing: faith isn't just asking, it's also trusting. Trusting that there's a plan, even if I can't see it.
I got on my knees and prayed, not "Lord, show me a sign," but "Lord, I believe You know what I need. Direct my steps. Give me wisdom. Give me the courage to follow Your will, even if I'm afraid." And you know what? A few days later, I met someone who offered me the project I'd always wanted. A month later, I was working for myself. A year later, I was happier than ever.
But it wasn't a miracle that fell from the sky. It was something that happened because I stopped, heard a voice within me (the voice of God), and followed it, despite the fear.
I know not everyone believes, and I respect that. But for those who do, or who once believed and lost their faith, I want to say: it works. When you're lost, when you don't know what to do, when all you see is questions and uncertainty, don't run to the internet first, don't listen to your friends' advice. Stand up, close your eyes, and talk to the Lord. Tell Him the whole truth—all your fears, all your doubts, all your hopes. And then—trust.
Trust is the hardest part of faith. But it's also the most powerful.
