I don’t think it’s too late at 50 to fall in love, move to another country, discover new places, or even start a new professional chapter. On the contrary—I now know much better what I want and whom I want by my side.

I’ve been through difficult times that taught me one important lesson: you can’t put your life on hold indefinitely.

I still long for that first date that makes me feel giddy, like a young girl. I want to travel, dance, wake up next to the man I love, make breakfast for two, and make plans for the future.

Perhaps it isn’t really starting from scratch. It’s a beginning fueled by experience, courage, and a much deeper understanding of myself.
