The place where i hide from the world
id: 10054745

I stumbled upon it by accident. I was looking for an 18th-century engraving of Kyiv—just for myself, just to look. And I fell down the rabbit hole. For three hours. I walked through streets that no longer exist. I gazed at houses that had burned down or been torn down. I read captions in old German and French. And I felt something strange—as if I were traveling through time without a machine.

This site isn't about information; it’s about a feeling. There’s no news, no comments, no "likes." No one argues, proves a point, or shows off. Just images and silence. And that is a rarity these days. I go there when I’m tired of the noise. Of opinions. Of the endless "what do *you* think?" No one asks that there. You can simply look.

Sometimes I download something. Sometimes I just browse. Sometimes I leave the page open all evening while I go about my business—and it glows on the screen like a window into another life. A calm life. A slow one. A real one.

I don’t know who the person collecting all this is. But I am grateful to him. Grateful that he does it not for money or fame, but simply out of love. And that he shares it with others who also know how to love quietly.

Do you have a place like that on the internet? A place where you can simply *be*—without a goal and without witnesses?
