ππΌππΌ HAVING SOMETHING NEW WITHOUT LETTING GO OF THE OLD ββ
Do you believe in the theory that 'one nail drives out another'? Personally, I don't. I believe that all new doors only open for us after we close the old ones... Isn't that so?
Today I was chatting on the phone with my cousin, and she was very cheerful and lively. I asked what her great mood was about, since just a few days ago she was grieving over breaking up with her boyfriend. And in response, I only heard that she had a new man who is paying a lot of attention to her. I was surprised—how can you open yourself up to a new person if just a few days ago you were with a man with whom you had a beautiful and long-lasting story?
Sure, I heard explanations about needing to move on, wanting to get back at him, and showing how desirable she is. BUT, to me, that's just plain lying to yourself. Don't you think? After all, that new person doesn’t deserve that kind of treatment either.
She will have many things to compare them to, she will expect from a new man the same habits and behavior she was used to in past relationships, and that’s completely wrong...
I believe that even if you think a relationship is over, you should give yourself time. Time to think, to improve yourself, to be alone in the end, during which you get to know yourself better and maybe realize where your mistakes were...
Only then can you take responsibility for another person's feelings... Am I not right?
Tell me, how quickly did you start new relationships after your previous ones ended? What did you learn about yourself during the break?
Could you quickly shift your attention to a completely different person?
Let's build our relationship without breaks π
