One of them said, "I could never date a woman who earns more than I do. I’d feel useless."
The other laughed and replied, "Are you kidding? I’d make her breakfast every single morning!" 😂
And you know what? It got me thinking.
I’m Argentine, I work as a CrossFit coach, and I’m used to working hard and making my own decisions. But that doesn’t mean I want to be the one in charge of the relationship.
I like men with character—men who aren’t afraid of having a strong woman by their side. Men who can hold me after a tough day and say, "Alright, beautiful, enough bossing people around. Now, let me take care of you." 😏
But let’s imagine a different scenario…
My career suddenly takes off. I open my own studio, start earning twice as much as my partner, and buy us tickets for a vacation.
Would that change how he feels about me?
Would he become resentful of my independence? Or, on the contrary, would he be proud of me?
A man could be a millionaire, but if he’s incapable of giving a woman attention, tenderness, and the feeling that she is desired—then what use is all his money to her? Then there’s the other kind of man—he might not earn much, but he meets her after work, cooks dinner, kisses her neck while she’s washing the dishes, and makes her the happiest woman in the world.
Personally, I’ve never measured a man’s strength by the size of his bank account.
But I’m curious to hear the male perspective on this.
If your partner earned three times as much as you, would you feel proud of her, or would you feel like you were losing your role as a man?
