I am alexandra. and this is not a résumé.

I am a teacher. I graduated from Drahomanov University with a master’s degree, qualified to teach foreign languages and literature. I didn’t dream of working in a school—I simply found my way there. At first, I thought I’d stay for a couple of years and then figure something else out. But eventually, I realized I didn’t want to go anywhere else. This is where I belong. Standing at the blackboard, looking into children’s eyes, explaining that behind every word lie entire worlds. It’s not just a job; it’s a conversation that spans years.

I am not married, and I have no children. For a long time now, I haven’t considered this a tragedy—it’s just how my life has unfolded. I am learning to live with this, without needing to offer justifications or explanations. I have friends. I have students. I have books that I reread. I have a collection of maps. I have a motorcycle—sometimes I look at it and think, "Someday." This, too, is life. My life.

I believe in God. Not fanatically, and without grand, loud declarations—I simply believe. When my brother is at the front, when my mother is far away, when everything seems to be falling apart—I talk to Him. Quietly. Within myself. And it brings a sense of relief.

I am not perfect. I get tired, I feel anger, I experience envy, and I know fear. I can be sharp-tongued or unfair. I don’t find it easy to forgive. But I am learning—every single day—to be a little kinder, a little calmer, and a little more honest with myself.

This is not a résumé. It’s just me. Hello.

And what would you say about yourself, in a nutshell? Not in terms of your job or your status—but simply: who are you?
