For me, it’s putting on some music, taking out my paints, and giving myself at least an hour where I don’t have to plan a single thing. 🎨🎶

I’m not an artist, and I’ve never dreamed of having my work displayed in a gallery. I simply enjoy mixing colors and seeing what happens. Sometimes the result is unexpectedly beautiful, and other times, it’s the kind of thing that makes you want to flip the page over quickly and pretend nothing ever happened! 😂 But that’s the beauty of it: no one is grading you, and no one is demanding a perfect outcome.

I was thinking recently about how often, as adults, we forbid ourselves from trying new things for fear of looking silly. We want to be good at something right away, to see immediate results, to get everything right from the start. Yet, there’s real value in simply being a beginner. Perhaps that’s why I’m drawn to people who can get genuinely excited about things that aren’t "serious" at all. They possess a certain lightness—the very thing that’s so often missing from our daily lives. 🌿
