So here is my little challenge, and yes, it started after I looked at one photo too long. I realized I kept searching for the version of myself that would look “right” - like confidence is only for the camera, not for everyday life.
Now I do this instead: I take three photos, but I don’t post them all.
The first one is “soft day” - natural light, no makeup, hair like it fell after work, a calm look.
The second one is “real effort” - hands visible, maybe a sketch line, maybe coffee steam, maybe the smell of fresh paper and construction dust.
The third one is “heart mood” - a smile that doesn’t try to impress anyone, just feels true.
Then I write one sentence under each photo in my notes:
- What I felt
- What I needed
- What I want to stop pretending
It’s strange, but after that I feel lighter. Not because the photos are perfect, but because I finally see myself as a whole person, not a cover.
If you tried this challenge today, which one would you choose first: soft day, real effort, or heart mood?
