Why Autumn Is My Favorite Season

If I had to pick a favorite season, it would definitely be autumn. It is not as hot as summer, nor as cold as winter. It sits softly between them, bringing a comfortable coolness that wraps around you like a light sweater.

One of the best things about autumn is the colors. Green leaves slowly turn bright yellow, orange and deep red. When the wind blows, leaves fall and dance in the air, covering roads and parks with a soft carpet. Walking on fallen leaves makes a lovely crunch sound under my feet. It feels like the whole world is painting itself in warm tones.

Autumn also has its special smells and tastes. I love the smell of fresh air after an autumn rain. Many fruits are ripe at this time: sweet grapes, crisp apples and juicy pears. A cup of hot tea or warm pumpkin drink on a cool afternoon makes everything feel cozy.

Days get shorter and the sun sets earlier. The sunlight becomes softer and warmer. It is perfect for slow walks in the park, reading a book by the window, or just sitting quietly and watching the sky. Unlike summer, which pushes us to stay busy outside, autumn invites us to slow down.

Some people feel sad because autumn means leaves will die and winter is coming. But I see it differently. Autumn is not an ending. It is a gentle pause. Trees let go of old leaves to prepare for rest. It teaches us that letting go can be beautiful too.
✨ Do you feel happy or a little sad when autumn comes? Why?

Autumn is simple, quiet and full of little happiness. It reminds me to notice the beauty around me before it fades away. I hope you can take some time to enjoy this wonderful season.
