Today, the rain started quite unexpectedly. I looked out the window and saw people on the street suddenly quicken their pace in unison, as if someone had just signaled the start of a race. Yet, one guy was walking calmly through all this chaos, carrying a paper bag of pastries. No umbrella, no hood—he was just walking along, smiling.
For some reason, that sight really lifted my spirits.
We so often take minor inconveniences as a personal affront from the universe.
The bus is late — a disaster.
The weather turns bad — a catastrophe.
Your coffee goes cold — the whole day is ruined.
But you could just shrug your shoulders and keep going. A day doesn’t have to be perfect to be a good one.
Anyway, today I’m officially on the side of the rain. But let’s have some sunshine tomorrow, shall we? 🌦️
