Today, I heard an old tune in a shop, and suddenly, I was transported back to a trip I took years ago. A summer evening, car windows rolled down, hair blowing across my face—my friend and I were singing so off-key that we couldn’t stop laughing.
I don’t even remember where we were headed. But I do remember the feeling that an endless summer lay ahead, and that there was enough time for absolutely everything.
Funny, isn’t it? Sometimes, entire years of one’s life blur into a vague outline, yet a silly song can bring back five minutes from the past—so vivid and detailed that you feel like you could turn around and step right back into it.
Perhaps that’s why I never delete my old music playlists. They aren’t just collections of songs; they’re versions of me—versions that were once happy, sad, in love, or starting life all over again.
And even if some of those memories make my heart ache a little, that just means it was all real. ❤️🩹
