A few years ago, we often heard stories from our parents and older generations about the romantic things men used to do. Some would wait in the cold for over an hour just to meet their beloved as she got off the bus. Others would bring her flowers simply because she was having a bad day. Some would even walk halfway across the city just to see her for ten minutes, or give her their jacket when she felt cold, even if they were freezing themselves.
They may seem like little things, but those gestures were what made romance special.
For a woman, these actions are not just about flowers or time spent together. They are about attention, care, and the desire to make her feel special. They are small ways of showing affection, initiative, and genuine interest.
But what do we have today? Social media, likes, a quick "Hey, how are you?" or a simple "Would you like to go for a walk?"
Has romance really been reduced to a few messages and reactions to stories? Have we gradually lost something so meaningful?
In my opinion, yes. And honestly, it makes me a little sad. A man's initiative, his willingness to pursue, surprise, and make an effort to win a woman's heart — these don't have to be grand gestures. Sometimes, it's the smallest actions that speak louder than a thousand words.
Maybe it's time to bring romance back into our lives.
What do you think: Have modern men lost their romantic side, or have the ways we express our feelings simply changed?
