Re: Does love fade with time?

"Yes, love becomes boring with time, love does fade with time. Its law of nature. Everything fades."

There is a fatal flaw in this argument.

Your argument is secular, physical. Nature is physical. You neglect the duality of man (humans). This duality dictates that we are not just physical beings; half of us is spiritual. In the Bible, as well as many other Holy books, reference is made to this in parable. To paraphrase Christ, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and unto God that which is God's." Caesar represents the physical, temporal, and God represents the spiritual. In another verse Jesus says, "Let the dead bury their dead." He refers to the spiritually dead burying their physical dead." John the Baptist baptized people with water (physical) and Jesus baptized them with the Holy Spirit (spiritual).
There are thousands of references made to this.
Things of the physical are temporary.
Things of the spirit are eternal.
Physical love is the attraction process, and is temporary.
Spiritual love is eternal.
Love is an act, not just a feeling. This equates to the phrase, "Faith without works is dead." If you "feel" without "doing," your love will indeed die. This is akin to having faith but no works.
Seek a spiritual bond in your relationship. Understand that a good marriage is made of two people who put the other person first. It is also made of two great forgivers.

It took me a very long time to learn this. Hopefully, I have provided you with a short cut!
