Re: Love lives for three years. OMG, is it true?

Nice topic. Two people in love get married and, for a time, (honeymoon period) they are well into each other. But then, as time goes by, there is a waning of feelings and they start taking each other for granted. Boredom has stepped in. There is a joke that, in the courtship period, the man tells the woman, "Move footsie, move footsie", but after they are married it's, "Move your hoof, move your hoof." In not all cases the love will sour in three years. I know of people who remain deeply in love for years and years. There is a saying that all that glitters is not gold and I guess that some people realize it after a while. The person that you thought you were in love with, might turn out to be not so interesting after all. It's like when you buy your child a toy of which he/she was ecstatic about and after a while, just throws it into a corner because they are no longer interested in it.

Sometimes what we think is love turns out to be just infatuation or lust, so we become quickly disenchanted with it. A love that sticks to the very end is a real love, a true love. There are some people who thinks they are in love for all sorts of reasons, but then they eventually come to the conclusion that they were not really in love at all. The excitement and the "sheen" all begin to fade, sometimes after three years or less. So, people, don't rush into situations because you're "feeling lonely" or you feel that time is passing you by, but be absolutely sure that you are getting into the right situation most suitable to you. We have a saying here, "Take your time and peel your pine". Those who know of the pine fruit, know that if you don't peel it properly, it irritates or "scratches" the mouth when eaten, thus the saying. If you don't take time and order your life, you tend to fail.

Hope I've been able to contribute my "little bit" to this discussion and hope that I've touched some, if not all of you. Take care, be good to yourselves and........"happy hunting!"
