Age difference

As usual, KenMitch offers a rational explanation.

My way is a bit different, but it speaks to the same thing.

When girls say that "age is just a number," they deny that we get older. We do.

The body breaks down. This is Divine Providence. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. This is the natural order of things. To deny this is is willful ignorance.

While a man might still be vibrant at 60, he will deteriorate by 70. Even though I still run a few miles a day, I am aware that I do not perform as I did at 30. As the Bible says, "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Eventually, I may require a wheelchair to move about. Do you young girls envision this? Is this really what you want?

I do not intend to be negative, I attempt to be real. While KenMitch is a handsome, vibrant man now, he, and all of us, must succumb to the laws of nature.

Shall we marry you and father a child? How wonderful for us, but a child will grow up without a father. Do you really seek this?

These are the things we think as we say, "I am too old for you."

From our standpoint, we do not wish to become a burden to you. Someone our own age understands this, and is prepared. You are not.

Of course, you are beautiful. Any man here would want you. But the mature man is realistic, and he sees in advance what problems would arise, were he in a relationship with a much younger girl.

Thank you, once again, for your wisdom, Ken!

May God bless you all,

David
