Men ... men ... They are everywhere. They write, call, sit down in restaurants, walk in the streets. They are handsome and not very much, they are wealthy and poor, old and very young, paunchy and with the Apollo bodies.
How many admirers and boyfriends should a beautiful, free, young woman have? It is the rhetorical question.
Truth, proven for centuries, remains the same: men love with their eyes.

I noticed one interesting regularity - just a colossal amount of beautiful young ladies feel alone.
I repeatedly heard the phrase from the mouth of a beautiful friend: "- I feel like a wandering kitten, everyone likes me, but nobody can decide to take home, because they think that someone will certainly pick someone like me up." (The word "pick up" is an allegory).

A woman in the literal sense does not need to be picked up.
My favorite writer, with all my patriotism, is Fyodor Dostoyevsky. I have reread the novel "Idiot" three times, I wanted to learn something new for myself, as I grew older and received life experience, to realize new truths. But each time I was clinging to the same scandalous scene at the birthday of Nastasya Filippovna.

Her appearance harmoniously combines with spiritual wealth and morality, despite her bad reputation in the eyes of the townsfolk. "Such beauty is power, it is possible to turn the world with such beauty," "beauty will save the world" is all about her ... but there is no one who would risk getting married her among the many noble admirers of her beauty.

After two centuries nothing has changed in society. In the end, the beautiful young ladies are taken away by the prototypes of the merchant Rogozhin, who do not care about this society at all.

Nastasya Filippovna was a hostage to her beauty and her deed with money thrown into the fire and departure with Rogozhin was a challenge to all this, at first glance, noble, but rotten society.

In our time, one-third of the beautiful girls are Nastasya Filippovna. Every day they listen to compliments and receive attention signs from worthy gentlemen. They live by promises of marriage. But it is just promises without actions. And then some douchebag breaks into her boring life and conquers her lonely heart with his pressure and self-confidence.

And everything would be fine, but, like in the novel, such "Rogozhins" often turns the beauty into a sold item of luxury and eventually ruins it.

There is the question, why do men like beautiful women, but at the same time they are afraid of them?
