Hi, how often have you heard such phrase as: “Lets stay friends”? I heard it. From movies, TV shows, even in reality from some people. Interesting to know how people understand this phrase. I will write how I understand it.
I feel uncomfortable when I hear these words…even if I hear this phrase just on movie. I see only one sense in this phrase. “Lets stay friends” means “I don’t want to have relations with you, so goodbye”. This is just the way of how to refuse, but in a gentle manner.
Hard to say if its good or bad and hard to understand if people can really stay friends after relations. I don’t have such example in my surrounding, but I want to believe that people can continue communication and keep in touch after the relationship period.
I hope that I will hear this phrase only on movie and my next relations will last for whole my life.
