I am looking for my prince. I noticed that in Western countries a woman who seeks a prince is described as high maintenance, demanding, unrealistic. "She is a princess" describes a woman who asks too much, is capricious, has nasty temper, does not give anything and wants only to receive. It's different in Ukraine. In our traditional wedding songs, the bride is called a princess and the bridegroom - a prince. The songs tell us how the prince went hunting and met a bird and that bird turned into a beautiful princess, whom he is now marrying. These songs were sang at wedding of common people, farmers and farm workers and labourers. The bride and groom were not even dressed richly, they wore their Sunday best and the bride put fresh flowers into her hair, that was all. But, they were a prince and a princess, their love transformed them. So, as it's a custom in my country, I do seek a prince - a man with a good heart and soul, his age, income, looks do not matter. We will meet and fall in love and he will be my prince and I will be his princess, forever and ever, till death us part.
