Many people say that things were better in past. Life was easier, the world was a better place...We think of good things which happened to us in past sometimes. Nostalgia comes to each of us and it's normal I think. But we should keep on mind that our memory is a tricky thing. Lots of bad moments are forgotten and we think that the past was happier than the present time. It's not right. I believe that everything has good and bad sides. There is no perfection. Let me tell you about a simple example. You and I are on a dating forum. Many people come here every day because they want to find the right person to communicate and to fall in love. It's an international dating site and I see people all around a world here. Would it be possible 40 years ago for example? I still remember the times when people wrote paper letters to each other. I have a smile on my face when I think of it:) You should buy the envelope first, then write a letter, then put it in a post box and there is no guarantee that a postman will deliver it properly. What if you wrote something really important but post lost your letter? That’s terrible! Such a thing happens to me before. I sent a letter to my grandmother but she did not receive it. I was very sad because of it. Being on a dating forum you may be sure that such a thing will never happen. Your message will come to a person you sent it and you should not worry about it. All you need is to make a few simple actions. That’s why I call modern people “lucky”. In general modern life is much easier than it was in past. I believe we should appreciate it.
