I want to address a few things that can possibly add to the sincerity and genuine feelings two people share here. I am currently involved with a very lovely young lady on this site. We have been together here for a few years. Before you get the wrong impression and think this is a sign she is not real let me explain all we have done and why we are still on this site. Firstly, we chose not to discuss a meeting or any information about our financial status or material possessions for 1 year. We chose to write, chat and discuss who we are as individuals. To get to know each other and our personailities. To ask the simple questions like what are our hobbies, what is our favorite foods, favorite colors, what movies we like or dislike and all those little questions that make knowing each other easier. As we talked and shared our letters we became close friends. We had a very enjoyable time getting acquainted. After 7 months of just being friends and really getting to know one another we decided to take the next step and open up about more personal topics. We chose to plan our meeting and became very serious about a future together. We asked each other how serious we were regarding the possibility of marriage. It was at this point where things we did added to the sincerity of our relationship. We did not rush anything and we took the time needed to get to know all we could about one another at a distance. Not all on this site are only here to play games and not be serious. The steps my lady and I took made us both understand that we had found in each other a very serious commitment to a future that is working towards a marriage. Here is a list of things we did and it has given us both the confidence and trust our relationship is real. 1.) She made her profile invisible to all but me. Yes this is possible and if your lady is as serious as she says and truly wants to be only with you she will do this and show you her sincerity. It is a very strong indicator of her desire to truly find one man to continue a relationship with. This is a step to be taken only after a significant time has passed and both of you have become very close. 2.) Ask her to agree on giving you her contact information. Again this is a step that requires both of you to be close and agree a future together is what you both are looking for. Be absolutely sure of each other and are ready to commit to a serious future. Understand that many women here don't read or write English well and give each other time to adjust to not having a translator. We chose to remain on this site just for this service and it has made our relationship very solid. Using emails and other social media outside of this site can make your communication difficult and this can lead to you both losing interest. Talk to each other on this and make a very sound choice as to how you communicate. 3.) We chose a set time and days when we meet to talk. This is the one thing so many women here complain about in their blogs. "Men don't write or can't chat as often as I need." Ladies this site is NOT free for any man! It costs money to write and chat with you. If you are serious about a future and want to build a relationship it is imperative you understand this. Talk to each other from the start and set a schedule to meet you both agree is acceptable. My lady and I meet in chat only on weekends and it gives us both so much to share about our week. It gives us plenty to talk about and the time we share is what keeps us both happy. We both have lives outside of this site. Work, family, and time are all those things that we both understand are what makes it impossible to be here every single day. This is a site for real people and not all of us are wealthy. It is not reasonable to expect each other to be here 7 days a week and in chat. Compromise and make a set schedule you both can accept! This shows you both are able to continue to build on your relationship and not have unrealistic desires. 4.) Proof of a visa if you are going to his country. Nothing is more important to a serious commitment then showing your sincerity. Showing each other how serious you are by applying for and showing you have applied for a visa is a sure way to prove your relationship is heading towards a goal of meeting and possibly making plans to marry. This is a very positive indicator you are both real and looking for a real future. 5.) Discuss a real date when you both will finally meet. This is the hardest of all things both of you will plan. It is a step that involves serious commitment and planning. If everything has been sincere and has lead you both to this point then setting a date to meet is the obvious next step. Sadly it is a step not many here have taken. I read so many blogs about relationships that started so strongly and have ended long before a meeting has ever taken place. What went wrong is so often either she or the man was not ready to take this very serious step. I understand all my lady must do to come to my country and meet me. We have talked on this in depth and have taken every measure to ensure her trip to me is one that is set and all that is required of her is done. I shared all this so it can be seen that there is real love to be found here. It just takes time, compromise and a lot of understanding to achieve it. It takes two very devoted and sincere people to make a long distance relationship work. It is not going to happen in a few months! It takes time to get to know each other and compromise to make it work. I came here with one thing in my mind. Knowing it was going to take a serious effort and patience to find the one woman who wanted a serious relationship. I found her and we both took the time it required to become best friends. We did not rush, we did not set unrealistic expectations on each other and we chose to work together. We are proof that it is very possible to meet someone here and both work towards that future we came here to find. Best wishes to all.
