I think that 2 weeks is not nearly enough time to form so many opinions about this site or the men who use it. I certainly did not expect an instant wife, most mature men are very realistic about their chances of success in love. Yes, there are costs involved for the man but it is less than some other sites. On the other hand, this is not a marriage broker, either, so the process of finding one woman out of so many that is a perfect match can take time - and that means lots of letters and chats, and relationships that just are not suitable for one or another reason. Those costs add up, they are not insignificant, and what seemed like a reasonable budget starts to drain the savings that a man might prefer to spend on his love, coming to meet her and her family, securing a visa for her and maybe any children she already has, and threading the legal process to be married to someone from another country. Between some countries it is a simple process, but some are more difficult. In all truth, unless the man has some spectacular business that he must attend to in his home country he would probably achieve his goal sooner to move to the woman. In my case, US citizenship is not casually thrown away.
