New beginnings! I have been here off and on much longer than I ever expected. I keep telling myself ‘make a decision’ or leave the site. Well, I don’t think I will be here much longer. It’s time to make a decision. ...but before I go I want to share my thoughts. I am writing about a major turn-off, a relationship killer! This relationship killer, crushes the relationship before it has it has a chance to start. It’s the crushing weight of the bad past relationship. I think everyone on this site has had a previous relationship before coming here. We all need to resist the temptation of bringing negative ‘baggage’ from the last relationship to our new relationship. This site gives you the opportunity for a new start, a fresh beginning. This new relationship will become what you make it. I think we can all agree there is no room in a relationship for cheating or lying, and maybe these expectations should be established early. However, I don’t think It is a subject for an icebreaker introduction or first letter. I have read so many letters that start similar to this: -My last relation cheated on me with my best friend. -I cannot stand it when men lie and cheat. -Have you ever hit your girlfriend There must be a better way to say ‘hello’! Letters I like to read have a positive start like: -hello, I like your profile, you are interesting to me! I am a big sucker for cheesy pickup lines. I think they are silly and make me smile and I am sure to write back If it is one I like. One i see the most often: Do you believe in love at first site? ...or should I leave and comeback! I have had my share of relationships; I have not been cheated on, and I have not cheated. So, I don’t know the hurt that it brings, but I know it’s not a good icebreaker! ...especially, if really like the other person and want their attention!
