I know a couple who met each other on dating site, and she didn't speak any foreign language. He spoke Japanese, French and Hindi. And she started learning French! It means that love can break all prejudices and find the best solution for two. But in my opinion, it's easier to learn English, because it's an international language: you may travel, meet friends from all over the world and work speaking English. It makes your life easier! So I am happy that I speak this language, and my parents insisted in learning it a long time ago! When a man comes online and finds a woman who speaks several languages, it's like a great bonus to him. It's a jackpot!
