In many countries it's ok to kiss on the streets and show love in the crowds. In Ukraine, most women don't like holding hands and kissing in public, and some men may get offended about it. Please, no panic! The thing is, we were raised by people who were born in Soviet Union, and even I was born in Soviet times. It was a difficult period of time, when people worked hard and they loved to have fun on holidays. Of course, when we meet friends and relatives, we are not cold and shy. We like talking, discussing things and celebrating together. When it comes to love, couples don't hide from their friends and family. But in public, we prefer not to show our private life to others. You may see some teenage couples holding hands and even kissing, but it's still weird for ladies of my age. We want to show love in bedroom, not on the street. Anyway, we love to be nice, polite, caring and lovely. We love kissing and holding hands! We love romance and surprises. Another reason is superstitions. Sone ladies believe if you don't show off about your man, nobody will steal him. And jealosy, of course.
