Every person in life is trying to develop and go towards his goal. Each of us has a special path that each person walks on his own. But we want to succeed in life. Success in life depends largely on self-esteem. The way a person treats himself, how he evaluates his abilities and what place he assigns to himself in society affects his goals in life, his life path and the achievements or failures he achieves. Self-esteem can be different. It may be adequate or inadequate, underestimated or overstated. The formation of self-esteem begins in childhood, from the first years of a person’s life with the acquisition of experience of achievements and failures. An important role is played by the atmosphere in which the child grows and matures. Of great importance is the example that the child has parents. Children have the ability to imitate their parents. The attitude to the child from parents, close people, adults and peers directly affects how he will evaluate his personality. Physical and psychological support and care from parents and relatives helps him to form a positive attitude towards himself. This process is also affected by the kind of self-esteem adults have, especially parents, around the child. After all, they are for her a role model. When a person becomes an adult, his opinion of himself no longer depends so much on the opinions of others, as she is psychologically formed and knows what she is capable of. She does not seek to achieve the goal at all costs. It is almost impossible to provoke rash acts. But if a person relies too much on the assessment of other people and it is very important for him to get their approval or advice, this indicates the inadequacy of her self-esteem - it is overstated or understated.
