In these times of COVID19 pandemic, it has been difficult financially on everyone. Most think North America countries are rich. Yes our GDP (gross domestic product) is high, yet the average worker lives pay to pay. Homelessness still exists. I live near Toronto, Canada. most restaurants, businesses are closed. I myself worked at a auto assembly plant that shutdown operations March 18th. I am lucky enough to get approved for government assistance. We have a popular cafe called Tim Horton's to get coffee and doughnuts, because of the virus dine in options are closed, take out and drive thru open. Some places do not except cash, only electronic payment (debit and credit card). Going through the Tim Horton's drive thru to get a coffee, a man asked "I don't want to be a pain, but can you get me a coffee?" I answered, "the counter inside is open" to which he replied it wasn't. I agreed to buy him a large coffee that he reached into his pocket for change to give me. He waited for me at the end of the drive thru, where I gave him the coffee, and he thanked me for helping him. I am lucky to be living with my caring parents, still healthy and staying home safe. Take care and stay safe everyone, and remember someone has it worse than yourself.
