Is there a right age to get married?
id: 10037031

Hello to all my readers! Living in the society, we certainly undergo certain norms and prejudices about how person should live his/her life. The most obvious social tension is experienced by people who are still not married and even engaged. Why are you single? Time is passing, you will get too old to get married and have kids – these are the most popular ones I have heard myself and I think many of us also did. So I wanted to share my thoughts about if there is really the perfect age to get married?
In my county there is a tendency to get married very young, in 18 and 20, but as statistics shows such unions are frequently the less – long lasting, because a rare person would be ready to build something serious in young age. There’s a long-standing notion that people who marry later in life tend to have more stable marriages. Getting married as a teenager, according to this thinking, is the riskiest, and the most predictive of divorce. This makes sense, right? If you’re young, you’re probably financially strapped and uncertain about your professional future; you likely have age-related pressures from family, friends, work, and school. On top of all this, many teenagers are inexperienced when comes to navigating relationship challenges. It’s just tough to get married when you’re very young.
The idea that getting married older is less predictive of divorce also makes sense: It’s likely that couples are more financially stable, have a clearer sense of self and goals, and have spent enough time dating to know what they really want.
Anyway, I believe there is no magic formula to get to know the perfect age for marriage, as the right time comes only when you meet the right person, your soulmate, with whom you can see future together, would be ready to share both good and bad times and enjoy every moment of life! What is your vision of that? What would be the right time for you? Thanks for reading! Ekaterina
