The irrelevance of the concept, “I deserve it.”
id: 241060

I see this statement often in the messages I receive. I see this idea as an example of extremely foggy thinking and being used by many people as justification for not doing what needs to be done. Or feeling that somehow life owe them certain things because “I deserve it”. My reaction is that there is no karma, or GOD to make sure you get what you deserve. There are people in this world who commit felony crimes. Sometimes they get caught. You do not hear them saying after they have been sentenced to twenty years, “I deserved it.” There are good things and bad things, the idea that you deserve it has no bearing on if you get it or not. The only thing that matters is if you can arrange things or convince the world to give it to you. Everything else does not matter. That is all there is. End of story.
Since the use of this expression contributes to flawed and foggy think, I suggest you stop using it.
