All the guests who came to this family were moved and admired their friendship. The cat and the dog accompanied each other everywhere: if the dog goes to eat, then the cat follows it, but if it goes to sleep, then the dog does the same. They were friends "inseparable", which sometimes still occurs between people. The cat and dog grew, matured, but their excellent friendship continued.

The cat was about to have kittens, and it was hard for her. At that moment, the dog seemed to understand that he would have nephews, and sometimes he gently licked the cat's fur on the belly, and she just purred with pleasure.

One morning, when everyone was asleep, the cat decided to go for a walk. Out of nowhere, as if from the void, stray dogs ran into the yard. When they saw the cat walking slowly along the path, they immediately chased after it. The cat managed to jump onto the fence, but with a big belly it cost her a lot of effort. She fell out of there and could no longer escape anywhere. A pack of dogs surrounded the cat. The dog, the best friend, was small in size, but this did not prevent him from bravely taking up the rescue of his girlfriend. The dogs were huge, and the dog was not capable of doing them any harm, so he could not do anything, only barked and ran up to them in a desperate attempt to attack. It hurts so much when you, with all your desire to help, cannot do it. The cat was bitten to death. The pack of dogs ran away, leaving only her bloody body. The dog sat looking at the dead body of his best friend in complete confusion and incomprehension. Very gently, the dog took and dragged the corpse to his booth. As if invisible tears were streaming down his cheeks. He howled for a long time. How much pain was heard in this howl! How much sorrow! He did his best to save his friend, but he didn't succeed. For a very long time, the dog did not allow anyone to approach his friend's body. He refused food and did not leave his booth. In the evenings, he howled long and drawn out.

This friendship is truly incredible. The dog loved his girlfriend very much - for the sake of her salvation, he was ready to part with his life. He was devoted to her to the end and did not leave her in trouble. Loyalty and willingness to sacrifice are the highest manifestations of love.

One day the howling stopped. Forever and ever. In the morning, two corpses were found lying side by side. The dog's face looked teary. He simply could not imagine his life without his beloved friend.
