The specific (and easiest) steps are: passport and tourist visa. Tourist visas come in several variety. It depends on whether you have relatives here it not. For those that qualify, their visa grants them to be here up to 6 months at a time for a total of ten years (with 6 month breaks between visits). A tourist visa has a duration between days (maybe a week) to probably 6 months. I do not know if they grant recurring visits beyond the first time . Business visa allows ( I believe) is similar to the family tourist visa as it'll allow someone in for a short period of time to do/manage something business periodically. Fiance visa allows entry (with a named plbethrothed US citizen) to enter 90 days. Once inside, the 90 day timer starts to become married. After married, the fiance visa immediately turns into a spouse visa (after a copy of marriage certificate is mailed in) where you can stay. At that time, the spouse can stay BUT not earn a living where an employer pays the spouse. The spouse would have to apply (maybe it's automatic after visa converts from fiancee to spouse) for a green card. If you worked for a hospital/clinic, there is also a worker visa that allows you to stay and work. You wouldn't be able to apply for this. I believe the company has permission to employ foreign national's at their business. All they'd do is associate worker with company. How does this work? After you get a tourist visa you'll make reservations and purchase tickets to visit. Once you are here, it's important that we document our visit. We will use a selfie stick and shoot many photos as we enjoy each other visiting different things. We collect receipts. We collect electronic communications (chats and email)...all necessary in order to obtain (as documented evidence) to get a fiancee visa for the next visit. All of the photos and proof shows the US State Department that we have a trail of history that we want to preserve. Sadly, some see getting to the USA as a business deal where the citizen is paid money for marriage and then after a few years pass a divorce is next to sever the ties to allow living here with a green card. With all the photos and documents it's hard to assume someone would not go thru all of this just for a green card when they can attempt entry and residence (with green card) using money having no relationship. Assuming we genuinely like each other and have attraction (instead of wanting to wring each other's necks) you'll hopefully want a fiancee visa for your next trip.
I believe that a part of the fiancee visa process is a background check. The US government won't accept solely on your proven identity that you are eligible to marry a citizen. They will look into your past regarding your work history, criminal history, and political history. I believe that the door for communists to live here has closed as evidenced by members of the Chinese Communist Party are no longer granted access to the USA because of the recent pandemic that was willfully loosed upon the word originally engineered in Wuhan China. The CCP (China's government) intentionally allowed it's international traveling citizens to spread the virus worldwide while they attempted (and failed) to contain it in the home province. Unless you live in a hazmat suit (like researchers in a viral research lab) you will get in contact with it. The human body has 380 trillion viruses. If you are healthy (no co-morbidities & less than 70) you'll be fine. Otherwise supplement with Vitamin A, B, C, D3, E, K2, Chromium, Selenium, Quercitin, and Zinc. Take those, lose weight, clean up diet, etc. You'll be fine.
