Aliens have visited our planet at all times, how they could hide it from us, so that we would develop ourselves and would not go the easy way, simply by adopting their technologies. And it is not a fact that this path would be better for us, but rather would result in undesirable consequences for us. And one more thing: imagine, we are a superpower that has long gone out into space, settled in nearby planets, and established communication with other civilizations in space, which are about the same period of development as we are.
At the same time, we know that there are other civilizations that are in the early stages of development than we are. Since we were already at this stage, and no one interfered with our development, we decide (of course, together with other civilizations of the same kind) - not to touch these civilizations, and send only scientists and research expeditions to their planets to study the local flora and fauna... And to do it as secretly as possible so that they develop without our intervention. But, in addition to friendly civilizations, there are absolutely opposite ones, which lead an aggressive lifestyle (seize the planets for their own benefit). In this case, we, as a friendly civilization, send our troops (together with the troops of other friendly civilizations; or maybe alone, it doesn't matter) to protect these most undeveloped civilizations (of course, the civilization we are defending should not know anything about this) and settle somewhere near the planet, for example, on a satellite (in our case, this is the Moon).
Now we finish presenting at the moment we are just the kind of civilization that should be protected, and all of the above is the case.
