I tried to read a few letters today.
Found the weariness a weight
The silence a chain
I tried to lose myself in pastimes
Empty and draining were they.
But A woman opened up to me
told me of her strengths and fears
her longings and dred
how she was worn by the gray
and dreaded the coming night
and lonely cold of singularity.
I would speak kindness to her and
perhaps for a day
I will feel a little less burden
a little less dread
while no words were spoken
I yet felt that someone had touch my heart
God was not finished with us yet
He would make it three
and a three cord strand is not easily broken
I stand taller
I hold my head higher
because we are not alone.
Remember the common looks of where you are
are not common everywhere
even more so,
the soul is unique
the spirit in the very center of you
Is the great I AM
You are invincible because of Him
You are incredible because of Him
and I am glad for you in my life
because of Him in yours.
