My family celebrates not only the New Year, but also the Nativity of Christ. This is a family holiday for us. Usually all the relatives gather at our house, at the decorated Christmas tree left over from the New Year.
We start preparing for Christmas in the morning, I cook delicious kutya with raisins. As soon as it gets dark, I carry part of this kutya to my godmother, and my godmother Mia. And they give some Christmas present.
In the evening, our whole family gathers at the festive table. This evening is called Christmas Eve. Everyone sits down to eat kutya first, and then other dishes. With the whole family, we remember the good moments that happened over the whole year.
