Many people seem to not understand true love. Let me explain in a way that might help all to gain a deeper understanding of this simple but complex word.

First, love never dies. Love never goes away. Love is eternal.

Please understand that many people mistake infatuation and lust for love. This is why you hear people say, "we fell out of love," "I stopped loving him (or her)." This is not possible. If one says something like that then that person did not love the other person at all or they are hiding from their true feelings because they are hurt.

Let me try to clarify through drawing you a word picture.
Infatuation = the brightness of the stars.
Lust = the brightness of the moon.
True Love = the brightness of the sun at noon day with no clouds in the sky.
True love is like the sun in brightness but also in the fact that its flame never burns out. Its light is eternal and travels eternally into the distance through time and space.

When you love someone truly then even if that person hurts you, you continue to love that person. That does not mean that you should allow that person to hurt you over and over again but that your love continues on.

I know this to be true because I have achieved true love before and even though that person is no longer my wife I do and always will love her eternally. Now that I know just how deep love can really be I also know that the woman I find and marry will have a man that is truly capable of loving her deeper than she has probably ever been loved before.

I hope my words have helped you all to know that true love does exist and no matter how long it takes to find, secure, and live in true love it is all worth it in the end.
