Psychologists repeat the same thing: "dog lovers" are open and friendly, and "cat lovers" are reserved and freedom-loving. Perhaps this is a reasonable statement. Or maybe not. A large-scale scientific study on this topic has not yet been carried out. After studying the questionnaires of millions of Americans with pets, psychologists made interesting conclusions.
So the first thing. Dog lovers usually have more friends than cat lovers. "Cat lovers" are inferior to them in the number of friends, but not in the quality of friendship. So they are increasingly invited to various events.
Second. An old maid surrounded by a dozen cats is nothing more than a stereotype. Although yes, people with cats are more often lonely - 30% of cat owners have not yet found their soul mate. But among dog lovers, the percentage of single is 24%.
The third - the most interesting and at the same time controversial - is the difference in preferences in art. Researchers believe that those who choose cats love fiction. And people with dogs love romance.
The fourth difference between cat and dog lovers will not surprise anyone. There are more cat lovers in cities than dogs. And in rural areas - the opposite.
And finally, the fifth. The researchers found that cat lovers are a little more grumpy. They often indicate in their statuses that they are tired or annoyed. And dog lovers prefer to tell the whole world that they are delighted and proud.
Psychologists often characterize "human cat lovers" and "dog lovers", but ignore questions about those who have both a cat and a dog at the same time.
So who is better - cats or dogs?
How do you think dog lovers differ from cat lovers? Are they generally different?
