January 10 is the anniversary of the death of Coco Chanel. On this occasion, I propose to recall five things that the legendary French fashion designer and founder of the Chanel fashion house presented to all women.
Style icon Gabrielle Boner Chanel was born on August 19, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three in France. Since childhood, she dreamed of a rich, luxurious life, since her family lived in poverty. The mother died in childbirth, the father left the children to relatives, who sent them to an orphanage.
At 22, Coco Chanel moved to Paris, where her career began. At first she was a sales assistant in a lingerie store and sang in a cabaret. In one thousand nine hundred and tenth, she opened her own headwear store.
Over time, Coco already moved freely among the rich, aristocrats and celebrities, offering them her signature style, elegant outfits, accessories and, of course, her famous perfume.
Hats from Coco Chanel were simple, but at the same time they were quite sophisticated. The short-brimmed hat that Chanel sold in huge numbers was also part of her own wardrobe.
Although Koko preferred laconic dress, she adored pearls, which she allowed herself to wear in large quantities. Before the fashion designer became famous, pearls were considered a manifestation of the aristocracy. The Frenchwoman, on the other hand, introduced a fashion for combining pearl threads and jewelry with everyday outfits.
Only the deaf man had not heard of the little black dress. The sketch of a universal, as Coco called it, a black dress from Chanel, was named number eight hundred and seventeen. His idea was that a woman of any income could afford a black dress suitable for any occasion.
Coco Chanel's tweed suits have become the epitome of luxury. Previously, tweed was considered rough and was used only for sewing men's outerwear.
The famous Chanel perfume No. 5 Coco Chanel released in one thousand nine hundred and twenty one. Ernest Bo, an emigrant from Russia, helped her create the scent.
She deserves admiration, right?
