And then one day I heard one smart person who said that working hard is really very honorable and wonderful, but there is one BUT ... If your work is connected with other people, then what energy do you bring to the world when you are exhausted, when you are everything? time on its last legs, when everything is always for others, but nothing for oneself?
What do you offer and what do you exchange with other people - your tiredness, lifelessness, emptiness, that you are squeezed out like a lemon? Would you take it yourself from others? No? And then what do you suggest to others? What do you want to receive from the world in exchange for such energy?
That's when I started thinking. And I myself really did not want to see specialists tired of life. It upset me when I saw a doctor who was exhausted by his work and hated the whole world and his patients because he had no days off, there were no people who went through it. A teacher who breaks down for children, because there is always a lot of work, there is not enough money, a continuous park. A salesperson who is rude because he is tired of his job. The examples are endless.
I suddenly realized that I do not need the environment of people who are tired, dissatisfied with life, themselves and work, who live like running horses. I don't want to exchange fatigue and emptiness with other people. I realized that no one needs it.
Something flashed through my head. And I realized that being proud of how much you work and how much you get tired is somehow still not very good. What to be proud of? That you don't know how to plan your time? What can't you do well for yourself? That you can't solve your problems? How then can you do something for others.
With these new thoughts for me, the next round of my working biography began. I stopped killing myself with work. I clearly follow how much I rest, relax and how.
Many of us are afraid, I know this from myself and my clients, that if we start working a little less and take care of ourselves a little more, our work will collapse, there will be less money, fewer opportunities and, as some of my friends say, "we will die of hunger." ... From my own experience, I can say that nothing like this happens. There are no less clients, nothing collapses, but quite the opposite. Drive, energy, positive, some kind of freshness, this is what people exchange more willingly.
I became different, and the people around me also became different. And surprisingly, there are no doctors, teachers, psychologists, officials, salesmen and accountants who are tired and worn out by life on my life path. Those with whom I come across simply burn with their work, manage to play sports, personal life and themselves, they are interested in life and people. And I really like all this, which is what I wish you.
