Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14. It is not a national holiday, however, many people love it. They call it Valentine's Day, a time when we give each other toy bears, candy, flowers, cards, and other cute stuff and even declare our love or propose.

There are many legends that could be the source of this holiday, but one is far more romantic and charming than the rest. Once upon a time, a priest named Valentine secretly helped arrange marriage ceremonies during a time when the Roman emperor forbade his soldiers to marry. As a result, the priest was captured and executed. Before his execution, he sent a letter to his beloved with a romantic message. Nowadays people call such cards "valentines." Usually, they are red heart-shaped cards with sentimental heartfelt words and poems. Young people usually send their cards anonymously, leaving, for example, the following signature: "From a secret admirer.

This holiday makes people happy and gives joy. For lovers, this day is another reason to show each other their love. I love Valentine's Day and its traditions. Moreover, I plan to meet my true love one day on this day.
