We celebrate Valentine's Day in Ukraine not so long ago; it came from the West several decades ago. America and Europe celebrate Valentine's Day for much longer. Why does it have this name? This is due to the legend, which tells about a young man, he served as a priest, but was also a doctor. It was a long time ago during the reign of the evil Roman emperor who banned weddings. He believed that all men should give their strength to fight in his army, and not love girls and start families. But this young boy (Saint Valentine) nevertheless secretly married the lovers. When all this was revealed, he was arrested and executed. Later, people decided to call Valentine's Day Valentine's Day, in honor of this man who gave his life for love.

Today, on this day, lovers give each other small gifts: cards, toys, boxes of chocolates, balloons. All of them are made in the form of a heart, because it is this that symbolizes love.

The main symbol of the holiday is "Valentine". This is a different size postcard made in the shape of a small heart. You can even put it in a mailbox if you are embarrassed to give it in person. Of course, we will all find our true love, so that for life, like my parents, for example. In the meantime, we have time to just celebrate such holidays and wait for our postcards.
