It is a shame that young women who start injecting Botox at an early age have not yet reached the age at which the results should be clearly visible.
I understand that creams with a wrinkle smoothing effect have two "significant" drawbacks: firstly, they affect mainly fine and shallow wrinkles, and secondly, they give a noticeable effect only with regular use. Botox injections not only smooth out deep wrinkles, but with them and much less hassle: “Well, just think, an injection! They pricked it and went… ”. Only in such cases I usually say: "The quieter you go, the further you will be," and our wrinkles are mimic, that is. a consequence of our facial expressions, our emotions, and a person without emotions, it seems, is not a person either. And let numerous beauty salons not take offense at me, but the topic of Botox has already set my teeth on edge.
Let's first figure out what is botox? BOTOX is a procedure for injecting into the mimic muscles of the drug of the same name, which is a purified and weakened botulism neurotoxin (while the unrefined one is the most powerful organic poison known to science - it was not without reason that it was previously developed as a powerful bacteriological weapon). Pay attention - NEUROTOXIN (i.e. in literal translation a poison that specifically acts on nerve cells).
Once at a medical institute, we learned that botulinum toxin, entering the human body with products infected with botulism spores, spreads through the bloodstream throughout the body, affecting primarily the central nervous system. And the most sensitive to it are motor neurons that provide motor coordination and maintain muscle tone. This toxin blocks the transmission of impulses from the nerve to the muscle. The effect of Botox is based on this property, which from the 70s of the last century until recently was used mainly in neurology, making life much easier for patients, for example, with diseases such as nervous tics, cerebral palsy, etc. began to be used relatively recently, taking advantage of the fact that under the action of Botox a significant weakening of the motor activity of the muscles occurs, the muscles are blocked (practically, temporarily paralyzed), and, as a result, the skin over them is leveled, wrinkles are smoothed out.
“To be or not to be?”, Otherwise, to do or not to do Botox injections for rejuvenation is the right of everyone, since the attitude towards its use is diametrically opposite: thousands of women deify it, about the same amount for themselves do not accept, primarily because, that the facial muscles are paralyzed, and the face becomes "lifeless", "waxy", "like a mummy."
But there is one more thing that is not mentioned in clinics and beauty salons - botox is not so harmless (this is indicated not only by contraindications, including pregnancy and lactation, visual impairment), but also by the latest scientific data. So, Italian scientists recently denied the fact that botox is completely safe and after three weeks it is completely excreted from the body, leaving no traces, having found its enzymes in the brain tissues that have not been removed (however, in fairness it should be noted that the experiment was carried out on laboratory rats) ... Based on the results of these studies, the US Department of Health has decided to conduct more thorough research. There is no ban on injections yet, but control over these procedures is now tightened.
And one more thing: according to published data, Botox itself is supposedly not addictive, but it creates a strong psychological dependence, since women constantly want to be young and beautiful. The effect of the introduction of Botox lasts from 3 to 6 months, then the procedure must be repeated if desired. I want to note that both the procedure itself and its frequent repetitions are unsafe, since there is a risk of persistent paresis and paralysis of the muscles exposed to the drug. And hence the risk of amimia and facial asymmetry, as well as skin atrophy.
