World health day? world health day!
id: 4943620

Today, I got up a bit early and did some minor exercising. Then worked half a day doing a lot of minor lifting and twisting and turning. I enjoyed long lunch with a healthy and balanced meal. The second half of the work day was much the same. A lot of minor lifting and twisting and turning—Work Calisthenics.
Then upon arriving at home from work, I went on speedy 12 mile bicycle ride. When I returned home from the ride, I found a note that a friend had been diagnosed with the WuFlu, aka the CCP Virus. I know that my friend is alone and has no one to help care. So I loaded up supplements and drove them to my friend.
This is only important in that today is World Health Day. I did not know about this celebration day until my wife-to-be congratulated me. This is interesting in two ways. First of all, I did not know about world health day, yet my activities of the day would reflect that I was somehow taking part in the celebration. The other way I find interesting is that as an American, I, like most of my countrymen, are quite unaware of some of these global holidays.
I do not know what creates our ignorance. We seem very in tune with the “American” holidays. We never miss Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, Easter (Gregorian Christian calendar), Christmas, and Thanksgiving day. Why do we know so little about and rarely, if ever celebrate the “world” holidays?
Thank you, my love, for opening my eyes to another world day. So before the day ends here in Michigan, I would like to express my congratulations to all of my readers, much health on this day and through the coming year. And much health to my love.
