Exactly one week before Easter, Christians celebrate one of the most revered church holidays - the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem, or Palm Sunday. In 2021, Orthodox Christians celebrate it on April 25.

It is dedicated to the solemn entry into Jerusalem of Jesus Christ, described in all four Gospels. In Orthodoxy, it is one of the twelve holidays - the 12 most important holidays after Easter, which are dedicated to the events of the earthly life of Jesus Christ and the Mother of God.
