International Day of Families has been celebrated annually on 15 May since 1994. A year earlier, the UN General Assembly, reaffirming its determination to promote social progress and recognizing that different concepts of the family exist in different social, cultural and political systems, and also realizing that the family as the basic unit of society is an important factor in sustainable development at all levels of society, proclaimed 15 May International Day of Families.
Family Day Traditions

Every year for the International Day of Families, various discussions, conferences, festivals dedicated to family issues are held. The holiday usually takes place under a certain theme, the main problems and possible ways of solving them are touched upon.
In Ukraine, on Family Day in many cities and villages, various family events are often organized, for example, outdoor festivals and picnics. In general, this day is best spent with your family - the way you like it.
