Today is the beginning of big holidays. Today's holiday gives hope to children once again to believe in a miracle. St. Nicholas Day for each of us is remembered as a special day in childhood. We looked for gifts under the pillow, in shoes, closets, in the kitchen, under the bed. I want to share my story.🥰 Saint Nicholas Day is the day of memory of the Christian Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. In Ukraine, St. Nicholas Day is celebrated on December 19th. On this day, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of St. Nicholas. In Ukraine, on this day, parents put gifts under their pillows at night. Children traditionally believe that Saint Nicholas brought gifts because they were obedient all year.

Orthodox Christians around the world celebrate St. Nicholas Day on December 19 and consider it not only a great religious holiday, but also one of the most beloved folk holidays. By tradition, it is customary to give gifts to relatives and friends, give alms, pray to the saint for health and ask for the fulfillment of cherished desires. So, this night, children receive gifts under their pillows and in their shoes, so they sincerely believe in the miracle performed by St. Nicholas and learn to be merciful. The miracle worker also takes care of warriors, sailors, drivers, travelers, students and merchants. On St. Nicholas Day, since the time of Kievan Rus-Ukraine, our ancestors honored the memory of the miracle worker and adhered to certain rules in order to increase wealth in the house, protect themselves from diseases and protect the soul from evil. The holiday itself came to us back in the 11th century during the time of Prince Vsevolod Yaroslavich. In the modern world in English-speaking countries, the saint is identified with Santa Claus, who gives gifts to children at Christmas. Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker is a historical figure, the bishop of the city of Peace in Asia Minor. The priest lived in the 3rd century and with his mercy earned a reward from God - the gift to work miracles. The Church glorifies St. Nicholas as a helper to all who find themselves in trouble and sorrow. Ancient manuscripts mention cases when, at death, people, after being applied to the relics, were healed literally on the same day. Nicholas the Wonderworker helped the drowning, freed the captives, saved the innocent from the death penalty, healed the sick, helped get rid of poverty and gave food to the hungry. As the legends say, Nikolai helped a poor girl who had no dowry get married - the saint threw a piece of gold through the window into her room.

Loneliness is a common human emotion that is difficult to define, but generally speaking, refers to a feeling of disconnectedness and isolation as a consequence of having limited or no social interactions. It’s not the same as being alone, as many people enjoy solitude, and is associated more with a person’s deteriorating physical and mental health as a consequence of social isolation.

Perhaps, one quiet day on the Internet / from acquaintances, you came across the word “burnout” (where it hasn’t been shoved yet). Perhaps you came to a psychologist, and he: "Father, yes, you have it."
